About the App

Calculator Vault is a fully working calculator that also acts as a private vault. Using a secret PIN entered on the calculator screen, you can hide and protect your photos, videos, and other files on your device.

Information Collection and Usage

We collect limited, non-personal data to make sure the app works properly and gives you a good experience. This may include:

Device information (model, OS version, manufacturer)

Crash and error reports

Diagnostic data to improve performance

Network connection status (used to load ads and keep the app running smoothly)

Advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID), used to serve and measure ads

Your hidden files stay on your device. Photos, videos, files, and intruder photos that you store in the vault are saved only on your device. We do not upload, view, collect, or share them. Your vault PIN is also stored only on your device.

We use the collected data to:

Hide, protect, and restore your photos, videos, and files

Protect the vault with your secret calculator PIN

Capture an intruder photo when someone enters a wrong PIN (if you turn this feature on)

Let you capture photos and record videos directly into the vault

Permissions

To provide its full features, Calculator Vault may request the following permissions:

Camera (CAMERA)

Used to take photos and record videos directly into the vault, and to capture an intruder photo with the front camera when a wrong PIN is entered. Intruder photos are saved only inside your vault on your device and are never uploaded.

Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO)

Used only to record audio while you are recording a video inside the app. The app does not record audio in the background or at any other time.

Storage Access (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)

Used to let you select photos, videos, and files from your device to hide in the vault, and to restore (unhide) them back to your gallery when you choose.

All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)

Required so the app can move your selected files into a protected, hidden location and restore them later. This is the core function of the vault. This permission is granted manually by you through system settings and can be revoked at any time. The app only accesses the files you choose to hide or restore.

Internet & Network State (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE)

Used to load ads, send anonymous crash reports, and check your connection status. Your vault files are never sent over the internet.

Vibrate (VIBRATE)

Used to give haptic feedback when you press calculator buttons.

Advertising ID (AD_ID)

Used by our advertising partners to serve relevant ads and measure ad performance.

Why We Need These Permissions

Functionality: These permissions are needed to hide and restore your files, capture media into the vault, and protect the vault from unwanted access.

Privacy Respect: Your photos, videos, files, and intruder photos are never uploaded, shared, or viewed by us.

User Control: You can deny or revoke any permission in your device settings at any time. Some features, such as hiding files or intruder detection, may not work without the related permission.

We use third-party services to show ads and improve the app. These services may collect anonymized, non-personal data as per their own privacy policies:

Data Retention

All your hidden files and app settings are stored only on your device. Important: If you uninstall the app or clear its data, files still hidden in the vault may be permanently deleted. Please unhide (restore) your files before uninstalling. We cannot recover lost files, as we never have a copy of them.

You may request to access, correct, or delete any information you have provided to us by contacting our support team at the email below.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including keeping vault files in a private location protected by your PIN. However, no system is completely secure. Please keep your PIN private and do not share it with others.

This app does not use cookies directly. However, integrated third-party services (such as ad or analytics providers) may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own privacy practices.

Log Data

In case of a crash or error, we may collect anonymized diagnostic information such as:

Device model and OS version

App version and activity logs
